We’ve gone to the dogs!

By March 11, 2017 Uncategorized

We’ve got some super talented new team members here at Kimball Animal Hospital. I was thinking to myself the other day, “Hey! They haven’t been properly introduced to our clients!” But how could I do it? I decided to help you get to know our fantastic family in one of the languages I speak best. Dog.

The breed descriptions shared in this post were gathered from the American Kennel Club’s list of dog breeds. Even though these are all purebred dogs, we adore all those mutts out there too!

Dr. Jason Rivas

Flat Coated Retriever: Happy, confident, intelligent, and forever young. I couldn’t resist choosing this one for Dr. Rivas mainly for the last part of the description. Forever young. Dr. Rivas is a strong intelligent leader, and he will be the first one to make you laugh when you walk through the door. His veterinary skills are amazing, and no one can pull off a corny joke like he can.

Katie, Practice Manager

Dachshund: Spunky, curious, friendly. So I couldn’t very well choose one for myself. Dr. Rivas chose this one for me. It’s true, I am all of those things, but I think it’s really just a short joke.

Brittany LVT

Norwegian Buhund: Smart, perceptive, confident, and a total sweetheart. Brittany is one of the newer members of our team, and from the moment she stepped into the clinic she has hit the ground running. Her confidence is contagious and she makes everyone around her feel like they can accomplish anything.

Cheryl, Veterinary Assistant

Greater Swiss Mountain Dog: Faithful, dependable, family oriented; Swissies are famously even-tempered. Cheryl is a rock(star). Her remarkable memory and calm demeanor are really helpful in the clinic. She is also extremely passionate about animals and it shows through her excellent work. I don’t think Cheryl has ever been presented with a situation that she couldn’t find something positive about.

Debbie, LVT

Pointer: Even-tempered, alert, hardworking, and loyal. Debbie is our detail queen. You’ll never meet someone who is more thorough when it comes to their work. Her calm attitude is very comforting to her patients and everyone around her.

She is genuinely happy to see everyone who walks in the door. She’s a quick thinker, and has an amazing ability to maintain a friendly and gentle attitude even when things get a little crazy!

Missy, Receptionist

Pug: Even-tempered, charming, mischievous and loving. When you call our clinic and Missy answers the phone, you can hear the smile in her voice. She’s always got a twinkle in her eye, and chances are good she’s up to something silly. She has a passion for helping people and their pets and does it with a loving personality.

Stef, Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist

Viszla: Gentle, affectionate, energetic and eager. I just had to pick this dog for Stef. She’s our redheaded fire cracker. She never runs out of energy and is always on the move. No matter how busy she is, she always makes time to give extra snuggles and kisses to animals who need it (all of them!). She’s a smart and hardworking ball of love.

[vc_single_image image=”3781″ img_size=”medium”]

Talia, Receptionist

Italian Greyhound: Sensitive and alert, playful, highly affectionate. Talia’s attention to detail and bubbly personality make her a superstar at the front desk. It’s not uncommon to hear her singing over the intercom. Her genuine love for animals shines bright on everyone who comes in.

For her I have chosen the Field Spaniel. Sweet, sensitive, fun-loving, and smart; a real people-pleaser. Dr. Ramus has a wonderful ability to connect with her patients and their families. Her sharp mind paired with her warm heart are the perfect combination when it comes to helping our clients feel confident that they are doing the best thing for their pets.

Dr. Walega’s fun and sweet disposition combined with her outstanding veterinary ability have made her an integral member of our team. She’s also got a streak of mischief in her that makes her an absolute blast to work with!

[vc_single_image image=”3771″ img_size=”medium”]

Abby, LVT.

Coton deTulear: Bright, happy-go-lucky, endlessly charming; born to love and to be loved. If happy-go-lucky was in the dictionary, you’d see a picture of Abby’s smiling face. Her fun spirit and ability to think lightning fast on her feet are such an asset to our team. She brightens up any room she enters. When you’re hanging out with Abby, you can be sure there are going to be a lot of laughs.

Chrissie, Veterinary Assistant

Keeshond: Outgoing, lively, friendly to all; a lover, not a fighter. If you’re in the room with Chrissy for more than 5 minutes, you’re probably going to learn something new. Her mind is always going, and there is always a smile on her face.

[vc_single_image image=”3775″ img_size=”medium”]

Julie, LVT

Pharaoh Hound: Smart and alert; noble, but friendly and affectionate. There is a reason we call Julie “magic” around here. Her technician skills are top notch! Her gentle confidence soothes animals that are stressed and helps them have a more pleasant experience with us. She always there with a kind smile and can-do attitude.

[vc_single_image image=”3783″ img_size=”medium”]

Megan, Veterinary Asistant

Kerry Blue Terrier: Smart and alert; people oriented, with a dash of Irish humor in her heart. Megan is a natural when it comes to communicating with pets. She might seem quiet at first, but if you listen closely, she’ll have you cracking up all day.

[vc_single_image image=”3777″ img_size=”medium”]

Nicole, Veterinary Assistant

English Cocker Spaniel: Merry and responsive, alive with energy. Nicole is the newest member of our team. As soon as she walks into a room you can feel the buzz of her warm energy. She’s always seeking to learn new things and wants to help wherever she can. Have you ever seen how a Cocker Spaniel wiggles when they’re happy? That’s Nicole. Pretty much all the time.

[vc_single_image image=”3793″ img_size=”medium”]

Maricel, Veterinary Assistant

Cairn Terrier: Cheerful, alert, busy and independent-minded. If I had to choose 3 words to describe Maricel they would be busy, busy, and busy. This woman never stops moving! Dirt doesn’t stand a chance in our clinic with Maricel around. She’s constantly on the move and always has a smile on her face.

Each and every one of these people bring something unique to the team. Individually they are superstars, together they can accomplish anything. I consider myself lucky to be part of such an amazing family whose number one goal is to help you and your furry family members.
