We know it is hard to make this decision for an old or very ill friend. Our policy is to give you as much medical information as we can, to help you make this choice. We provide humane euthanasia when it is needed, and we offer group or private cremation service, among other funerary services.
Zoonotic diseases are diseases that humans can catch from animals. Those of concern are usually parasites (fleas, ticks, intestinal worms and protozoa). There are some others such as leptospirosis, lyme disease, and rabies. We recommend yearly fecal testing for all pets and a full series of vaccinations where applicable.
Cryosurgery (or cryotherapy) is the application of extreme cold to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue. Cryosurgery is performed as an outpatient procedure with our in-hospital Cryosurgery unit. The application of intense cold will result in the death of the targeted tissue and the numbing of surrounding sensory nerves, reducing pain and discomfort!
